It is celebrated every year on the last Wednesday in the month of August. People indulge themselves in food-fight on the streets with tomatoes. The tomatoes thus used in this festival are especially grown for this festival and the taste of these tomatoes are also inferior. La Tomatina roughly lasts for an hour and is abided by certain rules.
